Transcript for "Refounding work across HR, Finance, and IT: Our Vision for Sana, Workday’s AI": Hello, everyone. Good morning. Good afternoon, wherever you're joining from. We'll just give it another minute or so to let some more folks join up, and then we'll kick things off. But, thank you for making the time today. Okay. So in the interest of time, we will say we'll get things going. We've got quite a lot to cover today, but welcome to our looking forward webinar, with Workday. And we're gonna cover all things Sauna and the vision for Sauna today. Workday has made a a big strategic bet on acquiring Sauna, and it's really going to revolutionize how our customers are getting work done across HR, finance, and IT. So let's jump straight into it. Now we will be recording this session. It will be shared with you via email twenty four hours after this. And if you do have any questions, please feel free to use the chats or the q and a on the side here. We'll leave some time at the end for any additional questions that might come in, but, but, also, we have some folks monitoring and answering questions as we as we go through as well. We've also uploaded some resources, for you to view. Just select their docs button on the right hand side, and you can download or review any of the material there. And one bit of housekeeping, if you are experiencing any audio issues, please just check if your browser has muted the webinar. You can also click enable audio, or use the control at the bottom of the screen to unmute. And we do recommend Google Chrome as the best webinar for as the best, browser for this webinar experience. But with that, a bit of formal housekeeping. There may be some forward looking statements as we go through this as well. Anything that's referenced in this call that isn't live today may be subject to change, and so your decision should always be based on what is available now. But with that, let's, get into the the content. And and first of all, I want to introduce, my colleague, Constantine or Tonti, who's going to be joining us very shortly. Tonti is a go to market, lead in our US office in New York, and I'm Jacob from the Asana team based in London. I'll be here as a moderator, and I'll be answering some of the questions. And I'll come back in at the end, but Tonti is going to be driving most of the session here today. And just to give you a quick overview of what we're going to cover, we're going to, first of all, go into Workday's AI vision for the future and a bit of why Asana was acquired. We'll then dive into the Sana enterprise product, including a few demo use cases as well. So we'll see the live product in action, on how we can help organizations increase productivity across HR, finance, and IT. And then from now, we'll finish the session with an overview of the road map and where we're going and what's coming next. And, again, as I mentioned, we'll leave some time at the end for any extra QR questions that do come in. So with that, I will pass over to Tonti. Thanks very much. Thanks a lot, Jacob. Excited to be here with, with you all to talk about, the vision for Asana as it relates to Workday's AI strategy as a whole. We know this this is a hot topic for sure. So, let's dive in. So, AI doesn't just answer questions anymore. Right? It can do real work now, and that's a a genuine sift, And it changes what you should expect from enterprise software. So for years, software helped people record, work and move through a process. Now it can do the work itself. So in theory, AI agents should take on a lot of what crosses HR, finance, and IT. But it's not that simple. The Frontier Labs, OpenAI, Anthropic, and the rest have poured billions into models that that have read more about accounting, recruiting, and payroll than any person could in 10 lifetimes. That still isn't enough to run your business because none of them understand how your company actually runs. Who signs off on a 6,000 expense for the clinical ops team in London? Which roles can see comp data for researchers in California? And which hiring workflows need works council review in Germany. Right? That knowledge isn't on the Internet. It lives inside Workday. So the problem has has never whether AI can reason or act. Right? It's whether it can do that inside the guardrails your business actually runs on. An agent then acts without those rules becomes a liability. And in HR and finance, that's not a risk you can take. Picture a manager asking a generic, agent to help with hiring for the holidays. It recommends a candidate who flagged as do not rehire because that flag sat in a table the agent never saw. It sends midnight shift offers to candidates who are minors because it didn't know labor law applied. It provisions access with an admin key, so temporary workers end up with manager level control of the registers. Now you need a recruiter, a lawyer, and an IT admin to clean it up. What a mess. The agent was capable. It just didn't know rules of your business. So Workday is built for exactly this. Its agent follows the rule and get the work done. The same productivity, the same productivity without ever operating outside the guardrails. It come down to three things. Context, the agent gets a live read of your org, your roles, and your reporting line. So it's working from how the company is structured right now, not a snapshot from the last sync. Then constraint. Every agent is held to the approval chains and business rules you've already set. It can't route around them because they're the same rules that govern your people today. And authority. Every action runs on behalf, of a real person, so it's owned, traceable, and logged. Nothing happens anonymously. And generic AI sitting outside the system doesn't have any of that context. Workday does. So that same holiday hire, run through Workday, catches the do not hire reflag, stops the legal shift, and scopes the, temp accounts to the right role. Right? And this is where Asana comes in. It sits on top of everything Workday knows and turns it into one experience your people can just talk to. Underneath, Sana orchestrates whatever agents a job needs. Nobody has to know which agent handles what. They just ask Sana, and Sana takes care of it. Take, for example, a manager onboarding a new sales hire. They ask Sana to get the rep ready for day one. Sana checks the headcount plan in Workday, confirms the role level, drafts the offer against the comp policy, and routes it for approval. Once the offer is signed, Sana coordinates the rest. Provision Salesforce, Gong, Slack, access through Okta, scope to the rep's territory. It sets up payroll and benefit, books the hire to the right cost center, schedules onboarding and Outlook, assigns the first learning pass, and pings the manager before the first year review. One asked across Workday, Okta, Salesforce, Gong, Slack, and Outlook. Every step follows the approvals, permissions, and business rules already in place. Right? And and this concept here is very important to, to really look at. Right? Because this is where if you look at sort of the Frontier Labs, OpenAI, Anthropic, what they're doing, right, they're really good at that one player, productivity. Right? And what we're doing here at Sana is really being able to do that multiplayer work, that work that spans many different divisions, many different approval processes, many business processes, and Sana just runs across all of it and can automate it all. Right? So what, what what we're doing here, right, if you think about it, Sana got acquired in, in November of last year. What we were really great at was, intelligence and memory. Right? What Workday is really great at is context and business frameworks. Now if you combine those two, what you get is actual ROI to your business. Right? And it's sort of three pillars here, that that we're we're focused on. It's, the ROI that you're getting is reduced risk because Sana is intelligent, and it can anticipate. Right? It's informed decisions, because Sonic can actually advise. And then it's improved efficiency because Sonic can actually act in your other systems, that it can actually, do things and improve efficiency. So I don't have to have six different tabs open, copy paste copy pasting things, clicking through things. Sana just does it. Right? And that's what you're what you're seeing what you're seeing here. Like, specific examples, Sana anticipates a coverage gap, before the team falls behind. Platform engineering, is three wrecks behind plan. It's flagged it's now flagged, and not at the deadline. Right? And advises here, Priyad's promotion with the comp band and budget already checked and the reasoning attached. And it acts on day one for Jordan with IT, finance, and benefits handled, a clean record from start to finish. So for you, that shows up as lower risk, better decision, and work that moves faster. Real ROI is what you're getting here. And and that was just one workflow. Right? But Asana does the same across the backbone of your business. It runs hiring, closes the book, resolves tickets. Everything on this slide, each one inside the same rules and approvals. And Asana meets people where they already work. Right? So whether you work inside of Workday for specific HR, finance, IT admins, whether you work inside the Asana app, whether you work in tools like Teams, Slack, and Copilot. A manager can ask for next Friday off in Slack or file an expense from Teams, and it's the same Asana running in the background. And that matters because a new AI experience only helps if people actually use it. Right? The service can change. The context, the permission, and the rules stay the same underneath. So under that simple experience, Sana's orchestrating the rights agents for the job. Some are built by Workday, ready made for payroll, recruiting, contracting, and more. Right? But what Sana does here, it's it's building a completely new experience for your employees, for your managers, for your HR, finance admins. This is really the future of agents that we're building in the Sana experience. Right? Leveraging the power of Workday, the context of Workday with the intelligence, the memory, and the UI that Sana brings. Right, I'll give you a few examples a bit later on this presentation of one of these, new agents that we've created, these completely new experiences, really revolutionizing, the way that you should think about HR, and and the power of HR finance IT. So, I'll come back to that later. So let's continue. So now let's get into agent building. So, there's there's different ways that you can build agents. Right? You have, sort of agents that you build yourself. So these are no code in plain language with the Asana, agent builder, or code first with the developer agent and extend, whichever your team prefers. And some come from partners over open standards. However, an agent get built, Sana orchestrates it, and runs it under your rules. Right? Now this is this is an important thing to to capture here because you have, right, you're probably already familiar with with the Workday built agents. Right? You saw, you've maybe in your conversations with your, Workday team, they've been talking about these these first party agents that Workday have built. Now, those are all being able to or Sana is able to be is able to orchestrate all of those. Right? But on top of that, you can build sort of your custom agents in a no code a way. Right? We have sort of Sana had from before the acquisition. We had our agent builder. We also acquired Flowwise, which is an extremely powerful agent builder. Those teams are basically creating a super powerful no code agent builder, which is already live in in Sana right now. And that allows you to leverage the strength of those first party agents of Workday, but also do those customizations that anyone in the organization can do. Right? Whether you're an employee, an HR finance admin, or IT admin, you can do that. Right? And then, for the ones familiar with extend, right, we also have the capability to do that, within we also have the ability to do that, in more from, like, an IT led way. Right? So if you wanna go to that next level of customization, we have that capability and extend as well. But, right, you should really have a look at our no code agent builder in Asana because it's super powerful. It should definitely be able to at least cover 80% of all your customization needs. Alright. So, now let's get into the the the following. So the the more agents your company runs, the more governance matters. Right? You need to know you can trust that you're what what you're doing. Sana gives you one place to see every agent in your org who owns it, what it can touch, what it's done. Every agent is a digital employee with its own profile. It doesn't get its own permission or it doesn't get its own permission. Right? It acts for a real person, and it inherits that person access inside the security model your org already runs on. If something needs review, Sana services it. If something needs to change, an admin changes it in one place. That's how you let AI grow across the company without creating a new governance problem. Right? So if you think about it, now that we have AI, there's a lot of a lot of sort of just capabilities of a human that AI is taking over. Right? So don't you want your HR system that is already owning all the all your people and money data to also own that piece of the pie, right, where it understands, hey. What is what is required for this job? What can an agent do, and what can a human do? And those two working in sync together. Right? And then later on, we'll also get into sort of one of the agents that we're launching, which is like the performance, agent that you want to better understand what is actually the value of a human, and then we have the capabilities to upscale the most valuable components of a human while at the same time automating the pieces that can be automated. Right? That is the power of Workday and Sana. So now let's, let's take a step back and sort of get a better understanding of where Sana sits within the the Workday ecosystem. So, as you can see here, sort of at the bottom, you have the core foundation. Right? The the Workday platform. So this is where you have, your your most important dataset that your company has, your people and money, record. Right? And then you have all the approval change and roles and the business processes that you have spent so much time to put into Workday. Right? All those business processes with, like, a thousand different lines, what if statements, all that knowledge, all that, process that you've put out is extremely valuable. And now we have the potential for AI to fully leverage it and really create the next level of agents that run across your business. And that's the the next layer that I'm showing here, right, is the agent level. So as I already mentioned, you have the Workday build agents. You have the customer build agents in our either no code agent builder platform or our developer agent builder platform in extend. Right? So really giving you that flexibility to allow you to customize the way you want it to. And then we have the partner built, agents. Right? So in the case that you really want Sana to be your full front door and orchestrate all your agents, right, you can bring in agents from other systems into Sana and have Sana orchestrate straight it for you. So then you have the the Sana sort of experience layer on top of that. Right? This is what I've first already mentioned where we bring together that intelligence, the experience, the orchestration, and, very important here, we bring integrations. So we have over a 100 prebuilt connectors, live today. Right? But that's not we're not stopping there because in December of last year, we acquired PyTree. They have over 3,000 prebuilt MCP connectors. That team is now working hand in hand with our team, right, to really create that next level of automation, to be to really go a level deeper into the read write capabilities that we can do within this application. And, very important, what we're also doing is we're increasing our capabilities of setting up triggers within these applications. Right? So if a thing happens in a certain application, right, take Workday, a new per a new hire is added to the system or somebody, needs is terminated and needs to get offboarded. Those are things happening in other applications. And we can set up triggers to then automate a workflow. Right? So, it will just automatically go through the onboarding process or automatically go through the offboarding process. Right? And we can do the same across all our applications, across emails, across ServiceNow, across whatever application you connected, we can do that next level of automation because into our integrations are so strong, and we did that PyTorch acquisition, and it's really something we're we're doubling down on. And then here, the top layer is the the surfaces. So I sort of already mentioned it on a prior slide. Right? We Asana will be wherever you are working, whether it's inside a Workday, inside of Asana, your business apps. Alright. So hope it is clear how Asana fits into Workday and how Asana can add value to your AI stack there. Now let's continue. So Sana goes after work you already spent real money on. Right? Contract review, hiring operations, payroll questions, HR service work, these aren't vague productivity gains. They're workflows with teams, vendors, and budgets behind them. So the impact shows up in hard numbers. Right? 2,500,000 saved across 90,000 contracts, 95, percent of store hiring automated, complex payroll answers moving from weeks to under a minute, and 1,700,000,000 AI actions have already run across Workday, each one as a specific person with only the access they already had. Alright. So now that we've heard about the vision for Sana and Workday's AI, I, want to walk us through what Sana recently shipped and what's coming. So, two themes here. Giving anyone the ability to build an agent and making sure every agent that runs is visible, trusted, and under control. So first, build your agents in seconds. You describe the work in plain language, and Asana turns that into a step by step agent that runs across Workday and 100 plus connected apps. No code required, and you can set it to run on a schedule or trigger off an event. Second, approvals for Workday actions. Before Sana touches anything in Workday, it pauses and shows you exactly what it's about to do. Nothing executes until you explicitly approve it. There's no default action. No assuming it's fine to proceed. Third, one place to see everything Sana does. That's the tasks inbox. It it services completed work and anything pending, your approval, all in one place. Nothing happens in Workday or in any connected system without sign off. And fourth, a home base for every agent. Every agent you build gets its own page, how it's configured, its full run history, completion rate, and controls to turn its triggers on or off at any time. So put together, anyone can build an agent in seconds, but every agent still runs inside a system where you can see, what it's done, what it wants to do next, and stay in control of both. Alright. Next were releases helping extend where Sana can go and what it can do once it's there. First, analyze data securely. You describe the analysis you need, and Sana writes and runs the code behind the scenes in an isolated sandbox. Works on uploaded files, lives in Workday data or data from any connected app. You never have to touch a formula or script. Second, Sana now joins your meetings. It joins your Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet cal calendars, calls, captures the decisions and action items, and carries that context forward into the work that follows. So a meeting isn't just notes anymore. It's context Sana can actually act on. Right? I use Sana Notetaker in all my calls. It's an absolute game game changer. I always have the full context of all my meetings, all my conversations whenever I interact with Sana. Right? Extremely valuable to have. Then third, 100 plus connectors for HR finance and IT, native read and write connectors to tools like Slack, TRN, Salesforce, plus custom MCP support for internal tools. Every connector uses your credentials and respect your existing permissions. Right? And I really wanna emphasize this. Right? Because we get a lot of questions about this. Like, how does it work? Right? This is a very secure way of of building these integrations that we've done. Right? It will follow the authorization tool that you are using for that specific application, and it mirrors the permissions that you have. Right? So this works for all our applications. But, right, taking your Workday, for example, you cannot, like, ask Sana, hey. What's the salary of my colleague? And all of a sudden, it will will show that. Right? If you don't have that permission to see that within Workday, Sana will never serve that to you. Right? And this this works the same for all our applications, for emails, for shared drives, for ServiceNow. It's all mirrors your permissions and follows a secure login method. So very important to highlight that. And then the fourth thing here, find anything in Workday even faster. Right? Search as you type and natural language search across people, tasks, and reports. Results are personalized to you and fully permission aware. Alright. So I think I've done a bit of talking there. Now I would really like to dive into the product a bit and show you what we're what we're what we're doing. And, there's a few things that I'm really excited about. Right? There's, I was talking about these domain agents. So these are really where we combine the best of Workday and and and Sana and and create that complete new, experience for your for your employees, for your managers, right, where it's really where we're changing from, you know, HR, finance, IT being a cost center to really being a value driver for your business. And I'll show you in a bit how that how that works. But, so I'll go ahead and and, share my screen here. Alright. So first up, once it's loaded, is the, performance agent. Right? So but maybe before I go into performance agent, just quick to give you a quick sort of overview of what what Sana is. Right? So, as you can see here, this is sort of the home page where you can see this chat bar. Right? Very sort of similar to your Copilot, to your, whatever, Chativity, whatever you might be familiar with. Right? That's for a reason. We want Sana to be very intuitive to use, very, easy to navigate, and also something that you already stand based on what you're you might be used to. Right? So the first thing that you can see here is a chat bar. This is where you can just ask all your natural language prompts, all your questions. It's here connected to all the tools that you've set up. It's connected to your Workday. So as you can see here at the bottom, it also gives you some suggestions of prompts that you can use based on the timing of the year, based on the connectors that you've set up. So something like draft myself evaluation, help me file an expense, draft the status, project status update are all the types of prompts that you can use here. Right? If I then go here to inbox, this is where you can see those agents that are running in the background that are doing work for you, that you have set up and that you have automated will show up in your inbox whenever there's something that requires human, human review. Right? So if there's certain items that you need to sort of progress or that you need to improve, they'll show up here, in your inbox. And then lastly, sort of the the discovery page here. So this is where, you you would have an overview of all the agents that are available to you. Right? You can create your own agents or maybe your, HR, IT admins have created agents. And they would show up here in this overview, along with the the various connectors that you might have set up. So the first thing I wanna show you here is performance reviews, right, and what that sort of would look like from, for from an employee standpoint. So there's still that natural language concept where you have all these prompts that you can use. But being a domain agent, it also has custom, UI and custom dashboards that we have prebuilt. Right? So there might be some of you on the call that have maybe tried to create your own types of performance reviews with other tools. Right? What we're doing here with with Sana and Workday is really providing you a tool that's ready to go out of the box, but you can still add your own customizations on top. And this is something that our team has deep expertise in. Right? So, allowing AI to write your performance reviews is is not something that, is easy to construct. Right? There's a lot of guardrails that you need to put in place, a lot of things it can and and should not be able to do. So all that knowledge is going into this performance agent right from from the combination of Workday and Sana that has experience in doing this talent management over the many years. So, let's let's dive into it here. So, right, the dashboard sort of allows you gives you an overview of your your own, self evaluation review reviews, your goals, maybe some peer feedbacks, and what sort of your growth is. So what that would look like from to get to that next promotion. Right? So let's start here with performance reviews. So what the agent is doing here is it's using the different connectors that we have set up. It then proposes a draft of what, this this self evaluation could look like based on the different project that that I've worked on over the past six months, years, however you set it up. Right, and sort of very easy to then adjust it. So maybe I can say, oh, actually, I want I have some work that I've done that sits in Google Drive. And now I can ask the agent to sort of help me rewrite this, and I can maybe give a get a bit of a pointer to the agent. I can say lead with the biggest outcome. And then what the agent does, it leverages those sources, goes through them, understands what you've worked on, understands your role, understands where you sit in the organization. You can then use that draft. Right? I can make changes to it, delete certain parts if I'm not happy with it. But then I can I can save those changes? Right? And similar to, to to to other parts of the the performance evaluation. Right? These are, by the way, questions if you wanna adjust this and, you maybe have rating systems or other types of performance reviews that live in Workday, Asana will be able to serve that up, in this performance module as well. Right? So Workday is still the system of record here. Asana is that UI experience layer that brings that whole experience to the next level because it has third party connectors, and because it has that AI intelligence layer to help you, right, identify what you worked on, identify gaps in skills, help you identify goals, progress towards those goals, and then later on what I'll show what a manager can also do, with all this this power. So just finishing off here so I can say, right, help me write this. Again, the agent, gives me a few pointers. I can say use this draft. I can save the changes and then submit for review. Right? So you can see there how easy and quick I was able to submit a performance review. And imagine doing this for all your peers, right, especially if you're a manager or you have many peers that you need to write. This is very time consuming. We can give that time back. And as well, we can give way more context because there might be all these things that you missed over the last six months that you didn't know that you worked on. Right, and Sana can pull all that information from the connectors that you have that you have laid out. So another thing that I wanna show you here is the goals. So as an employee, right, you can set up your goals. Typically, something that you would put into Workday, something that you maybe look at once a year. Now that come that those goals become dynamic. Right? Because we can connect it to the different, sources that where you actually are working on those goals. And we can set up what the deliverables are. We understand whether you maybe cross off one of the deliverables because that work lives in one of the sources that you have connected. Right? So a very powerful tool to really help the employee develop the skills that are so much needed in a world where AI is gonna take over a lot of the work. Alright. So, right, this is sort of the employee view. We then also have feedback for your peers that are very easy to capture, and to chase them, nudge them, whatever is is helpful. And however you're doing your performance reviews, we're making it extremely easy. Now I wanna show you the, manager view. So now manager, imagine having all these direct reports. Right? What are these direct reports? Can sometimes be tough to manage them? So many different reviews, check ins that I need to do. Where are they progressing towards? Now as a manager, that becomes super easy. Right? So if I go here to, to my view as a manager, I can see all the different reviews that I need to do from my direct reports. Right? Very similar fashion to what you saw with the, with the employee where I can even say, whether it should match my voice. The AI will then help me write those reviews based on the different connectors that I've set up, the different interactions that I've had with this employee. And, again, very easy to to add and set up. Right? If I like sort of I can add different sources, add different documents, and then eventually submit that review. So very powerful tool for the manager. Now it doesn't just stop with reviews. Right? We can also see an overview of all the goals. So as I showed you earlier, from the employee view, we can see now as a manager what the employees are actually doing, what their main goals are, right, whether they're drifting, whether they need help with whether they need a coaching plan, whether they're on track. Super easy to track what's going on. Right? And if they need help, a few people, I can see here what the active coaching plans are for for each individual, and I can sort of help them create one if they need one. Right? Really leveraging that power of AI and HR and then those combination, creating a completely new HR and an HR that's value driving for the business because you're constantly upscaling, your employees and giving all this power to managers. Right? We have tools like, allowing you to understand what you need to do for your quarterly check ins. So whether it's submitting a self evaluation, peer feedback, performance reviews completed, goals updated, all those things that you need to do are now all in one place, very easy to understand for a manager, easy to manage their direct reports. Right? So very excited about this agent. It's going into EA next week. You do need the the Samask view to to get this, but please talk to your Workday reps, to figure out how you can get access to this, because this is really gonna be a game changer for your business. Alright. So that was the performance agent. Now what I would like to do is, show you the ITSM agent that already went in EA as of last week. So super excited about this one. This is what I talked about earlier in the in the presentation where it's that powerful combination of that multiplayer cross divisional work that Sana can do. Right? Whether it's across HR, finance, IT, we all combine it, we all automate it, and we all allow people to work together, in a unified experience. So, what I wanna show you here is that sort of conversational experience that, that I was also talking about. Right? So I can here type in a, paste in a simple prompt where I say something like, Mira Park just signed. Right? Help me get her signed up. So I'm here, the manager that wants to onboard, that wants to onboard, my new joiner. So it understands from Workday, right, that there is this new joiner that joined, and it gets all the relevant context from Workday. Now what it understands, right, because we gave it all the context, it understands the policies, the business processes. We gave it a good additional context on how to do onboarding. Right? That's something that we have set up, with the client here. And the first thing it understands, okay. We have a new joiner, takes information from Workday, and understands this is a person that's starting in sales and gives me all the, relevant sales licenses that this person needs. So there's Salesforce, HubSpot, Slack. And what I can do here, right, this human in the loop component, I can approve those licenses. And what it then does, it creates a ticket in whatever system you use in the back end to, provide that soft to do that software provisioning. Right? Up next is part of the flow that we have built here is that it needs to, approve a cert I can approve your certain onboarding packs. Right? So here's an example of Jira where we have different knowledge packs that, this person needs to get access to in Jira. So I can go ahead and approve those packs. And then, again, it will create that in that system of record that we have connected. Next up is the hardware request, whether it lives in ServiceNow or whatever ITSM sort of system of record that you're using. Sono can integrate with it, can build it into your workflow, and I can here have that human in the loop component where it can approve the bundle, and off it goes to the next step. Right? And here, it's all because it's also connected to my email. Very important step that often managers forget is making sure that the person on day one has has that sort of lovely welcoming feeling, right, that they feel welcome on day one. They feel they understand where they need to be. So Asana can get all that logistic information from whatever office this person is joining. Put that in your email. Serve it up to you as a draft. And if you, write like and what, the draft what is, you can edit it, or you can then go ahead and send it off to the new joiner. And, right, solidifying all these steps into a workflow also helps you to, right, to to really help streamline that, that onboarding process for a lot of your employees because maybe managers forget to do certain things, or maybe things don't always happen in the same way. But you just give the knowledge or the way that you want Sana to do things. You give Sana access to that. And then you give managers the agent to press, and and all they have to do is press play or even automate it based on a trigger, and it all sort of comes together in this one workflow. Last up here in the workflow is, new meetings. So right, very important that new joiners understand what, that they have the right or that they added to the right orientation meetings, that they maybe have buddy syncs. Right? So it can pull that information from Workday, understand who your buddy is. And then it has access to your calendar, so you can create that calendar invite with the buddy and the new joiner. And all these meetings take place in the first week, and nothing is missed. So I can go ahead, send off those invites, and we'll create those, counter invites for me. So what you saw here, right, is, an onboarding workflow that did multiple things. Right? It did, it it put tickets in different systems, so read write capabilities. It got all the information it needed from Workday, and it did this across five different systems in, like, under a minute. Right? So how typically companies do this. Right? They have five different tabs open, different people owning different systems. You have to ping different people. You have to copy paste information over. Now it's all just one streamlined all morning flow. And I just wanna show you here how easy it is to create an agent like that. Right? So if I paste in here a prompt that says draft an employee off boarding workflow based on our exit policies. Right? So this is exit policies information, whether it sits in Workday, whether it sits in your drive. Right? You can keep that sort of as a record where all the memory, where all the the activity sits, or all the rules that you can then keep as a source of truth. And if you just prompt Asana here with just a very simple prompt. Right? Create this agent for me. This is where that no code agent builder comes into play, right, where it's just natural language, but it has all that context, and it can create that multistep workflow, cross system workflow right here. So it it it's understood that it needs to, have a certain trigger here. So termination filed in Workday. Then there might be certain approvals that, this agent needs. So it understands that as well. And then it has all these steps that it can automate, whether it's sending certain emails, scheduling the exit interview, confirming IP, confidentiality acknowledgment, all these different things, right, that are sometimes forgotten as part of this termination off forwarding flow. You can now streamline and make sure that nothing slips through the cracks. So, that was, my demo. But there's right? This was an example of two domain agents that we're super excited about that are already in EA. Really are gonna be a game changer for your organization. We have the first clients leaning in already, creating their first offboarding, onboarding flows, doing their performance reviews. It's really exciting times, and this is really where the the the future of HR finance IT is going. So, if you don't wanna miss out, talk to your Workday rep. You know, understand how we can help you do this for your business. But now let's get back to, to the I still have a few more things that I wanna show you. So I went through the r one release. I did the demo. Now let's chat about road map. Right? Because a lot of exciting things, are coming. So, let's start with what's coming, with rising twenty twenty six. Very excited about that event. I hope you guys are too. Did you already booked your flights to Vegas? We're we're gonna have a lot of fun there. But, so what what's more what's gonna come, January? So the foundation is agent orchestration. Right? So one chat, and from that single chat, you can trigger both Workday agents and manage agent. And from there, we're shipping domain agent. Right? Tailored rich experiences. So I already showed you the ITSM. I already showed you performance. Those are already in EA. They'll be GA by rising. Right? And then there's many other agents that will be EA or GA by rising. Things like the travel agents, super exciting what we're doing there. The talent acquisition agent, also completely game changing what we're doing there. If you're interested in that, make sure to book a demo with us, and things like payroll agent and many more that I showed on on the earlier slide as well. Right, and these aren't generic chatbots, bolted onto each domain. They're purpose built for the work. Some of and and some of these are what you just saw in the demos. So next, we're enabling triggers of Workday events. So a user built agent can fire automatically on a hire, a job chain, or off boarding trigger, right, which which I showed you in that demo. We're also bringing in company knowledge, semantic search over whatever content admins choose to expose. I want to be clear on this. One, access always respects existing permissions. Right? Nothing here bypasses what someone's already allowed to see. And we're rolling out a unified home experience and task, a new homepage with personalized widgets, that span both Workday and third party tools. And admins can now publish agents to the organization, creating a library of verified agents for users to adopt. And admins can organize the library into categories, flag the highest value agents as essentials so they surface first in discovery. Admins can make changes to a published agent whenever they need, and every change is implemented to all end users automatically. This means that with Sana, no agent goes stills or fall out of compliance. And finally, every agent, operating across the org will be able, will be able to manage through the agent system of record or ASOR, in Sana. So that's rising 2020, '6, the orchestration and governance foundation plus the first wave of the main agents. Then we have '27 r one, pushes on two fronts from here. So connecting outward and getting smarter about, you specifically. So first, third party agents. We extend orchestration beyond Workday itself, so tasks from external agents get centralized centralized right there in Sana. Second, user based memory. So Sana starts to remember you, your preferences, your past conversations, and that memory keeps updating as you work. Then we're bringing Sana into Teams in Slack with, business process approvals delivery directly into those channels so people don't have to leave the tools, they already live in. That memory layer also powers smart home, so personalized tax tasks surfaced just for you, plus daily briefings and weekly recaps. Then there's multiplayer, so coordinating people and agents across one end to end task with handoffs that actually preserve state history and context. No more starting, over every time work passes hands. And we closed twenty seven r one with the next wave of domain agents, continuing to expand that domain agent investment into new use cases. So if you zoom out, Ryan Rising gives Sana the foundation to orchestrate and govern agents safely. '27 r one extends that outward to third party agents to the tools people, already use and makes it personal enough to actually anticipate what you need before you ask. Alright. Handing it back over to Jacob. Thank you very much, Tonti. So, hopefully, this gives you a good idea of where Sano is today and where we're going as well. I would say that, really, we couldn't do this without our incredible partners and customers that we have at Sana. The same with Workday, we do double down, and we do really care about the relationships that we have. And so we aren't building Sana Enterprise in isolation. We are really shaping it alongside some of the world's most recognized and and leading organizations that we're working with. This is just a small cross section of some of the industries that we're working in, you know, from consumer goods and health care to professional services, investments, and life sciences. And they're all very excited about the potential of agents, but they also know that adoption at scale requires more than just experimentation. They do need AI that can work across different systems, understand that rich enterprise context, ultimately respect the important permissions that you have in Workday, and operate with the same level of trust and governance that you've always expected from Workday for the better part of twenty years now. So that's why we would say that Sono Enterprise is so important at this crucial time for AI and for work. It really empowers our customers to get real work done across HR, finance, and IT, and ultimately being accurate, safe, and secure in the as the examples you've seen from from Tonti. So we we want to leave you with a few key takeaways from today and a few things to think about when you're going away from this this webinar. Now the important bit really is, first of all, that Sana is the primary agent at the heart of Workday. Again, this is a big strategic bet that Workday has made, and Sano is now that connective tissue or that layer that ties in all the other agents across your business, whether that's Workday prebuilt, any third party agents you have, but any user built agents that exist in Sano as well. So that's the architecture, and that's what makes everything else on this road map actually manageable and useful. Second of all, Sana is actually running real work across HR, IT IT, and finance today, and it is getting smarter with every task. And I would say this isn't theoretical anymore. I mean, you've seen some of the numbers that Tonti showed around the contract saving, the hiring automation, the payroll turnaround, but, also, hopefully, the demo has brought some of this to life as well for you to see how this can work practically. Lastly, I would say the next chapter of Asana and what we're really excited about and and where we're going as a company, as an organization, is to be, more multiplayer, more memory focused with that rich context that you have, start to bring in additional third party agents, but also those triggers based off real events. So all of that to say is coming. We do focus on speed of development and speed of iteration at Sano, and so there's a lot of exciting things forecasted for the next few months and next year. But none of that, as as you've seen, comes without the expense of control. Again, to leave you with a a single message is that Sauna is grounded in the guardrails of Workday. So the permissions, the approvals, the audit trail, all of that is still intact in the instance of the people and money data that you already trust. So orchestration is at the core. We're seeing real real results today. And the road map, as I said, is getting as Tonti showed, is getting more and more capable without being less trustworthy because we're grounded in that Workday reality. So if you are interested in getting started with Sono enterprise and curious kind of where to go from here and how this works, we would say speak to your, Workday account team. They have the most context, the most understanding of this, and they will also understand the nuances of your organization, the integrations that you have, where the data sits, and how this can work practically today. On a more important note, I would say having the universal main subscription agreement signed, the UMSA. This is a necessity for all of Workday AI, but particularly for the Sono enterprise, product as well. And, of course, the Sono enterprise SKU needs to be done in order to authorize deployments. If you do want to learn more about this, please stay up to date, with Sano and our community. We're constantly sharing more information on the latest and greatest things that are that are coming. Now I know we have about ten minutes left. We've been trying to run through the chat and answer as many questions as possible as we go through, but I thought it might be worth actually asking a couple of these things to Tonti as the expert in the room who has the most context on on these pieces. So we've tried to group some of the questions that we had and some of the main themes throughout. I think one of the things that came up quite, often maybe in the questions that were asked is really about the different agents that people can access through Asana. Hopefully, you got an idea of, you know, the self built agents and the fact that it's no code. But, Tonti, maybe you could speak a little bit to, what kind of agents I can actually use on a day by day through Asana. Yeah. For sure. So so maybe just, we start with sort of, today versus, rising. Right? So as of today, right, you can use Sana to, first create your your own agents. Right? Connect it to whatever's over the 100 connectors that we have live. Right? So you can you can create those multi, multistep cross system agents yourself. And then the the second thing is the Workday agents. Right? Right now as of today, we have, three main agents live. So it's the Workday self-service agent. Right? And that comes with a ton of capabilities and a ton of things that you can do across Workday. Then we have the, IT SEM agent, which went, in EA last week, and then we have the performance agent, which is in EA next week. Those are the three main agents that we're sort of focusing on right now. But then by rising, right, we'll have a ton of Workday agents that are live and orchestrated by Sana. Right? I've already mentioned a few on the slide, but also more of the sort of other familiar agents that you have that you're maybe familiar with, like the bp optimized case agent. All those kind of agents that live in the Workday UI, that you may be already familiar with, that you're playing around with, will also be able to access through the Sana UI. Right? So we're talking about agents. It's Sana will orchestrate all the Workday agents. Sana can create you can create your own agent with our no code agent builder, which I showed in my demo. It's agents that can then do things across all the different systems that you have connected. And then, right, if you want Sonnet to be the full orchestrator of your entire enterprise, you can also, add third party agents, whether you built them in Copilot, whether you built them in other systems. Right? You can through MCP, you can connect them to Sana, and Sana can orchestrate them. So, really, we a lot of possibilities when it comes to agent building. Brilliant. Thanks. And then one general theme also that came up in the chat was around some of the examples that you showed. I think it's great to see some of these things come to life and how these things could work, particularly, you know, the example around the onboarding one, I think, is quite a nice one to show how different systems connect. But, naturally, they know there are nuances in every business, even, you know, the up the scale that enterprises are operating in different regions with different, offices and so on. Can you speak a bit to how we actually, build these processes out with companies and how we work to refine these depending on whatever your organization is doing? Yeah. Yeah. Great question. So what's key to note here is that as part of, the the Sana SKU, right, what you get, included as well is what we call our Sana success plan. Right? This, what this is, this is a team of, of highly, talented people, right, that I sit side by side in my office, amazing, talented people that have great experience, when it comes to exchange management. Right? They've been doing this for many years, and they understand the Asana product really well and understand, the the power of it and what it can do. Right? So, we understand that, these kind of use cases can sometimes be complex. They need sort of customization. So we help you in that process, right, where we really go deep into how your organization does things. We scope out the the relevant use cases for your organization and how Sana can solve those use cases. Right? So you get really dedicated support, and you don't get that just in the presales motion. You also get that in the full post sales motion. Right? So throughout the contract length, you'll get that full support. And how it typically works, right, is that, let's say you have, you have three use cases that you wanna start with. Right? So you wanna start with performance. You wanna start with onboarding. You wanna start with self serve. Right? We would sort of, continue with deploying new use cases in Wave. So our, services team, what they will do is they will say, okay. These are your key three key priority, use cases. We will customize them for you, and then we will help you enable your organization how to use them. And then maybe three months later, you're ready for the next wave of use cases. So there's this sort of constant development of new use cases that our teams support with that we then also, deploy, across your organization. And this is especially relevant as, like, the you know, there's constantly updates to the product. There's constantly updates to the capability. So you wanna make sure that you have that team available to you so that we can constantly update your agents, make them more powerful, make them smarter, add more features, add more connectors. So yeah. So, right, those nuances in how your how your business is run, we, we have Sana has the capability, right, to build that customization into our agents, into our workflows. But you also get that support to make sure that, you can actually do that, and it's not just, hey. Here's a piece of software. Good luck with it. Right? Well, thank you. And I know we are we are approaching time. There's about five minutes left. If you do have any more questions, please, pop them in the chat. But maybe as a final one for me, Tanti, again, something that's come up a few times in the q and a here is around, you know, we've already invested in another AI tool. We've already invested in a Copilot or a an agent builder, etcetera. What would you say to those companies are maybe the two or three biggest differences between Sana versus, generic AI tool or another AI tool? Yeah. Yeah. It's, it's it's, it's something that comes up a lot. Right? We understand that a lot of businesses have already done heavy investments into, like, Copilot, into Gemini. But the way that that we see it as on Workday, right, is that these tools have been extremely good in that sort of one player, just general productivity. Right? In the case of Copilot, Copilot shows up in your email, in your drives, in your, in your slides, in your Excel. It's sort of everywhere where you do that sort of one player work. Right? Asana and Workday, what we do really well is that multiplayer work and that cross system, cross teams orchestration, automation, and where especially, like, approval chains, business processes are very relevant. Right? So so that's, like, one piece where you can say, okay. We'll we'll have Copilot, but we have Sana next to it that solves, those specific HR finance IT use cases. Right? And that's something that you wouldn't want to, do in Copilot because then you would have to you're you're dependent on our MCP, and sort of you have to build all you have to rebuild all the guardrails and all make sure that Copilot understands your system. So it's just a lot of effort to try and rebuild what we're doing in Sana in other systems. Right? So there's this this version where you will you will have certain things that you just really wanna do in Asana. But, right, we play nice with something like a Copilot or with a Gemini enterprise or whatever tool you're using. So, for example, for things where it makes sense and, in my opinion, where Tippy makes sense is just simple employee self serve, we can we can do that and serve that up in Copilot and Gemini Enterprise, right, where it's simple stuff like you're already in Copilot and you just quickly want to update your PTO or understand how much you're getting paid next month, what your commission was, or you wanna, you could quickly update your personal information. We understand that for those kind of use cases, you might not wanna go to a separate tab, open it, whatever. So we have that availability to connect through MCP and do those kind of tasks. But there are just other tasks which just make a lot of sense to live, within Sana and do it from there, like the onboarding, like the performance reviews. Right, and we have a ton of more, use cases that we can talk through, not just HR, but also finance IT, even sales, general productivity. We can do all those use cases. But if you already are heavily invested in Copilot and Gemini, right, we can sort of, write schedule a follow-up with us, and we can help you understand where the power of Sana sits and how it can coexist. Right? And this is not this is something that we understand really well. A lot of the logos that you saw on the prior pages, they already have an ex Copilot or Gemini enterprise. And they and they have still gone all in on Sana because they understand the additional value that Sana brings. So we can talk through that if you wanna understand more about how you can sort of, right, really get most out of those two platforms and how they can live together, we can, we can follow-up on that. Brilliant. Thank you. Well, with that, we will wrap it up a couple of minutes, Emily. I know, a few questions are still coming in, and we're answering those as we go. Again, the best way to understand more about Sono Enterprise and your specific case is to go through your Workday account team. They will bring in the right folks from both the Sano and the Workday team from across our organizations to make sure that we are addressing what you're trying to achieve and what you're trying to do. I want to thank you all massively for the time that you've spent today. It's been hopefully an interesting hour to understand where Sauna is going and where Workday is going more broadly and some of the things that we're very excited about that we're delivering over the next well, delivering today, but also over the next few months and next year as well. I also want to thank Tonti a lot for his time as well, and for coming and hopefully showing you all an interesting demonstration and an idea of where, again, Sarna is going. So with that, we will wrap up the session. And, again, please speak to your account team if you do have more questions. But we will stop there, and thank you very much for the time, everyone. Bye bye. Thanks a lot, Jacob.
